Today MP Gareth Johnson released the letter he has sent to the consultation on the Lower Thames Crossing.
In his letter, Mr Johnson outlines the reasons why the next Lower Thames Crossing should not be at Option A in Dartford and that this location should no longer be considered.
With just days to go until the consultation closes, Mr Johnson said: “We cannot have another crossing at Dartford and my letter makes that clear to the Department of Transport.
“If you haven’t responded to the consultation, I would urge you to take part to help ensure the crossing is built elsewhere.
Motorists need an alternative route and the route identified east of Gravesend will provide this and open up the area to a wide range of economic benefits.”
