Gareth Johnson MP for Dartford has welcomed an announcement by Health Secretary Andrew Lansley MP that Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust will receive £2.9m of public capital across 2011/12 and 2012/13.
Gareth said “This is fantastic news for patients in the Dartford and Gravesham area. This money will allow the Trust to take forward plans for additional and replacement equipment to improve efficiency and most importantly the patient experience at Darent Valley Hospital.”
This funding is part of a package of £330m to be invested in improving patient services across the country.
Gareth said “In February we had the news that the Government has allocated a £1.5 billion fund to hospitals such as Darent Valley struggling with the burden of PFI agreements so am I am extremely pleased to have yet more good news about the health service in Dartford.”
